We have three main priorities that are driving our campaign, none of which requires increasing taxes:  Get Nevada back to work, improve the quality of our educational system, and reign in the federal government.

Get Nevada Back to Work
Our first priority is to get Nevada back to work.  We can do this by encouraging entrepreneurialism, establishing Nevada as a pioneer in the field of energy, and restoring Nevada as the leader in liberty; for it is liberty that attracts commerce and prosperity.  Read more

Improve our Education System
We need to improve the quality of our education system by empowering teachers and providing parents the freedom of choice.  Currently our schools are overcrowded, lagging in performance, and perpetually underfunded.  I will work to remove government interference in our classrooms allowing our teachers to do what they do best and that is teach our children

I advocate breaking up the mega district in Clark County, and others if necessary.  I advocate getting our teachers out from under the NCLB laws that have hindered their ability to teach. We also need to provide our parents with school vouchers so that they can choose which school is best suited to their children’s needs.  In a more competitive educational environment, we will get more and better schools competing for voucher dollars.

Reign-in the Federal Government
As Governor, I will take a leadership role in working with the other forty-nine Governors to reign-in the federal government.  Items to be discussed would likely include:

  1. Revisiting the 14th Amendment to address illegal immigration
  2. Addressing the “Commerce Clause” so that the federal government promotes commerce instead of restricting it
  3. Addressing the 16th Amendment (Income Tax)
  4. Revisiting the 17th Amendment which has resulted in the loss of our state’s rights being protected in the US legislative branch
  5. Explicitly prohibiting the federal government from redistributing our tax dollars with strings attached that encourage increased government spending at multiple levels
  6. Transferring BLM lands to the states
  7. Repealing the Patriot Act and other legislation that has stripped us of our legal rights
